error code 4010 why does it keep showing

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I did disable Windows Defender antivirus and firewall. I also uninstalled Malwarebytes. I was still unable to restore the iOS on my iPhone. Thanks

True, could be dodge and there is a risk there. Got my iPad working perfectly, though, unlike any of the suggestions on this thread.

Hey, i had this error as well.

After hours of searching for a solution and found nothing i just tried something simple which at least worked for me.

At the begging when i was getting this error i had downloaded itunes from microsoft store.

Then i decided to test out downloading itunes from a random internet page and that solved the problem for me!

I would be concerned about a random Internet page, because it might have been a hacked copy that contains spyware or viruses. The right page to download it from is https://apple.com/itunes, and you are correct, the version in the Microsoft store does not include the iPhone drivers. It is only for managing music in Windows.

I cant restore my ipad, and it is stuck on the restore screen (cable + pc).
