dynamic background not working on second monitor for one user

Hi,

I had dynamic background set for some time (the Dune) with a 2nd monitor connected via HDMI on my MacBook Pro, Os 10.14.6.

Today, suddenly the dynamic background stopped working on the 2nd monitor, and is showing just a white background.

It's working when I turn on the computer, and stops when I log-in.

Logging in to the guest user works and the dynamic background is kept.

I've reset NVRAM and SMC, signed in and out and tried all the usual stuff.

The fact that it's working for other users on the machine hints it might be a corrupt file but I've no idea which.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yaron

I suggest you try Safe Mode, which does a lot of different things.

One is it does a five-minute or so disk Repair as it starts up. That can't be bad.

Another is that it does NOT load any unnecessary Extensions, or any third-party extensions at all. No graphics acceleration is provided, so screen updates are expected to be wonky and slow, but ultimately correct.

Another is that it tries to take defaults for absolutely everything it can, BUT any changes you make will "Stick" when back in regular mode. so my recommendation is while in Safe Mode, check and change every setting that seems even remotely involved.

When you next start in regular Mode, extensions caches are rebuilt, so that startup takes slightly longer, once.
