Apple watch S4 call failed

Hello

since I updated to WatchOS 6 when i try to execute a call from my Apple Watch the call fails even if i pick a call form my iphone ill be able to talk for couple of seconds and then it fails

Hi Everyone. There is another (short) post regarding same issue. It's called "AW Cellular S3 Nike - Call Failed every time... A solution was posted on that string that worked for me as I can now answer calls on my watch. It states:


On your iPhone, go to Settings > Phone, and turn off Wi-Fi Calling and Calls on Other Devices.


In the Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch > General > Enable Handoff, and disable Handoff.


Restart both devices, then turn these features back on.

Let me know if this works, test while connected and not connected to Wi-Fi.

Thanks for your Post, but this does not work for me..

By now, i restored my SE with a fresh Image of iOS 13.2 and the only device i paired is my Apple Watch 4.

After Pairing, i worked about three times and now i have the same issues again.

I am still in contact with Apple Support and try to get this Problems to the engineers and i won't accept the suggestion of the Support to pair my Watch with a "newer" IPhone because i love my SE.

I have the same problem with AW series 4 and iPhone SE, latest software. It’s not just the intermittent nature of the calls it’s affecting all use of apps or Siri on the watch, sometimes they work quickly but mainly they don’t work because they can’t connect to the internet (through the iphone) or Siri is slow to respond or says “uh oh I’ve lost the connection, let me try that again” .


Everything worked perfectly until I updated to iOS 13 and WatchOS 6.


Ive gone through the resets and re-pairing and restored the iPhone from a fresh install but nothing. I reported it to support a few weeks ago but they were stuck.


This has really limited the use of the watch since iOS 13 came out :(

Just got a cellular S5 a few weeks ago (running OS 6.1). Interestingly, I'm also using an SE (running OS 13.2.3). Same issue with calls failing--both when placing a call and when trying to answer.


I tried a different tack: I called AT&T for help. Explained the situation; on hold for a while. They had no ideas...said something about using Bluetooth or WiFi for calls. I told him that I wanted to make call w/o a phone or WiFi (which is why I got a cellular watch). Not helpful...
