iphone 11 pro max crashing

Since 10/2/19 i have encounter a bug where my iphone 11 pro max is crashing. The phone will randomly shut down and restart it self. I could be watching youtube or doing anything on any app and the phone will shut down and restart, even on full charge. At one instance it did that multiple times in a row. Every time it would restart i would add my passcode and get on home screen and it would crash again. It just did that today too. I am currently on the latest update 13.1.2. Anybody else have the same problem?

I just rec’d a new iPhone 11 Pro Max 2 days ago. After charging (came with zero charge) and backing up from ICloud, it began to just shut down. I’d put the phone down and pick it up to a black screen. Would have to press the button and apple logo would appear and password due to restart was required. Went through apple support and after HOURs of effort including updating iTunes, and doing the update through iTunes, the problem persisted. I was told it must be SW related and it was suggested I set up as a new phone. Reluctantly I tried this and after about 7-8 hours where I slowly MANUALLY reset up and configured my phone , linked to my watch etc the problem resurfaced. The same exact issue and sometimes it would even turn itself on when I picked up the phone (no button press). So off to the apple store I went where the analytics showed multiple “panic” logs. They confirmed it was HW then and provided me a replacement for my 2 day old phone. Apparently the guy had never seen this on this phone but this thread has me wondering. So for those of you with this same issue - it’s not your case. It’s not your SW. And it’s not from copying the image from your old phone. Check the analytics log and look for files that say panic... apparently just a couple is not an issue but if there are several.... red flag. Problem will not just resolve itself.

I've done a complete reinstall through iTunes, but iPhone 11 Pro Max Green 256Gb keeps crashing a few times a day. At random use. I noticed two things: (1) after restart the 'dark mode' has changed back to 'light' and (2) I did'nt need to enter my simcode, which is normally done when phone is shut off and on again. So it seems that the restart is not a 'complete restart' although the apple logo appears while the sudden shutdown takes place. I will talk to Apple support in two hours again.

I contacted Apple Support who eventually suggested a full restore of the phone via itunes, as other people have suggested. I backed up the phone to be sure, and then did the full restore (restores all the software I guess). This was fairly quick, and worked very well (I had changed by backup password first just to be sure, since I had trouble with this in the past). Result - crashed a couple of times as I was setting up the phone, and has crashed again this morning. i.e. this is not the solution. Maybe changing the phone is the only option left

My saga continues. My primary reason for posting this was for any Verizon customers. On Sunday, my wife volunteered to use chat to get a new phone. After a long time she was able to get a reference number and was chatted that the phone should arrive Monday or Tuesday. When it did not come Tuesday, I called (no chat) and it turned out that what they were sending was a return label! And the tracking number showed that it had not been mailed! I then asked them to send out a phone and they said that they would need the original one back first! I spoke with at least six supervisors with the same answer.

I then drove to the official Verizon Wireless store and the guy said that is not the way it should happen. He spent five minutes on his computer and now I have a tracking number showing that a new phone and sim card are to be delivered tomorrow.

The above is just relevant for Verizon customers.
