imovies projects/events disappeared
I have tried a previous suggested solution from Finder...but when I get to cache ....there is nothing about iMovies at all? So where to now?

What version of iMovie are you using? The Backups folder applies to iMovie 10.
If the iMovie Backups Folder cannot be found on your computer, then your other option is to restore your iMovie Library from Time Machine at a date before the issue happened. Your might also check your other libraries, if you have any, to see if perhaps you are inadvertently looking in the wrong library. Sounds silly, I know, but it does happen.
