How to restore previous Safari session on an iPad?

Hi

By mistake, there were two sessions of Safari open on my iPad. While attempting to toggle to another app, I inadvertently swiped the original Safari session closed - the one with all of these tabs open.

There are plenty of suggestions out there on how to restore TABS, but nothing that I can find on how to restore a session.

The multiple tabs on the original session had not necessarily been recently visited so it's unlikely many would actually be in my history.

Does anyone have any idea on how to achieve get this back?

Thanks

Yes, you can recover a “Recently Closed” session - for a short period after closing the Safari instance.

With Safari running as the foreground App, swipe-up from the bottom of the screen, just enough to expose the dock. Do not flick as this will return your to the last used home screen; similarly, don’t swipe to the middle of the screen and pause - as this will invoke the task switcher.

With Safari open and the dock exposed at the bottom of the screen, touch the Safari icon in the dock. This will show all the running instances os Safari (iPadOs permits multiple instances of the same App); at top right, a “Restore” button will appear for recoverable instances, which will include all associated tabs.

I hope this is helpful in resolving your question.
