Scanned documents in Notes became empty after syncing with Macbook via iCloud -Softwarebug?

I scanned documents on my iPhone in Notes and finding the documents and forwarding them via Mail etc never has been a problem. Recently I synced Notes to my Macbook via iCloud. Since then, the scanned documents are empty on both my iPhone and my macbook, they appear as notes and there is a window for the scanned document, but first it says "loading document" for a while and then the frame remains empty. Only one of about 20 scans is still appearing, but the title changed weirdly on its own.

Did a mistake happen in the iCloud process?

How can I retrieve the scanned files? Does anybody see the same?
