iPhone email signature image not showing
Since updating to ios13, my email signature logo is not showing in my email.
It is saved in signatures, so the signature is coming across, but the logo is a blank box?

You only do it manually one time if you do it according to my instructions. Spark app-create signature and insert image from a picture button in spark app. Then create a new email, copy the whole signature.
Go to iPhone settings - emails - signature and paste the signature.
You may still be able to retain fonts formatting (provided iOS recognizes that font type) but wont be able to retain Company Logo (image .jpeg or .png file) with in the saved signatures.
To retain your fonts all you have to do is shake your phone after pasting the signatures copied from another message.
This will generate a prompt message "Undo Change Attributes" on your iPhone screen, Tap "Undo" and your custom font will reappear. Tap on a clear area and edit your signatures (if you want to) then tap the back button/arrow at top left. You're done.
But as stated earlier if your copied signatures contain a JEPG or PNG picture file it will appear as an empty block when ever you compose a new message.
I endorse Mmabe24's response. No response from Apple engineer's.
They seem to have gone vacationing after selling every new iPhone for around $1000/- to $1500/-.
A $150/- Android phone can do better than this.
Exactly, it worked for me just ONCE. the second time, that darned "null" box was there again. So should we all switch to Spark?
I can't believe the purportedly No. 1 tech company in the world can't or won't fix this issue
Well, the signature worked well with iPhone XS Max and IOS 13.3.1 until the moment when my mail office account did not synchronize correctly, I deleted and re-installed the account.
And there I lost the signature and impossible to put it back with the image (the logo) .... I tried everything.
Spark or whatever is not the problem in my opinion.
All of these programs generate an html signature.
There is a bug and Apple does not fix it and in addition does not offer a simple system to insert a logo or image in the signature.
It makes no sense.
And when you shake the iPhone XS Max with IOS 13.3.1 Nothing happens.
it doesn't matter anymore.
Those who still have the message that reconfigures the signature correctly it works.
And those who shake and have nothing it doesn't work.
IPhone model problem ?? some devices fail?
This seems to be working and you can tell it's going off to the cloud to get the logo from my Google Drive. I tried Dropbox, but they want you to upgrade to make URLs public, then I used my OneDrive and Gmail refused to find the public URL. So, placed it in my Google Drive. The Web URL tab didn't work, complained it couldn't open the file, however it did place the file under the My Drive tab, so I used that. It's working.
Painful experience and Apple should be ashamed of their Support Service as it doesn't seem to have the teeth internally to get these issues swiftly fixed. This is not and isolated incident, it's a pattern with SW problems.
Thanks the forum getting involved. We progress, despite the vendor leaving us flailing around.....
I'll preface this with "This is not a solution, it's a workaround!" as I'm having the same issue on my iPhone with iOS 13.
All I did was take a screenshot of my existing email signature in outlook on my work computer, saved that screenshot to iCloud drive, and then made sure it was downloaded on my iPhone.
On my iPhone I configured a generic "Kind regards, Name" signature in Mail settings, and then whenever I need to attached my full email signature I just insert from iCloud drive the image of my mail signature.
As it's inserting an image not attaching it, it does work in HTML email and appears just fine in outlook when I receive said email.
Like I said, not a fix, but then I've never managed to get HTML signatures with images working in iOS mail, but it is a workaround that will suffice for me and my needs until my company unblocks the use of Outlook for iOS (which is better than iOS Mail anyways!).
Hope this helps.
This is completely unacceptable. I called Apple support in the UK and they stated that signature in mail is no longer supported?!
How can a company release a update which negates previous features and more importantly a feature which 100% of businesses use and have been using for years?!
I am surprised by the lack of concern by apple to flippantly tell me that it is “no longer supported”.
I expect more from Apple and hope this issue will be addressed asap and a reply posted to me.
I’d spend your energy following the advice regarding using gmail to make a signature block and sending it to yourself. It works.
Only requirement is if your sig block is all image and no text. You need to add a character to make sure it’s displayed. Weird but true.
I think most people know that if not all. What you’re suggesting is a work around.
The most affected are the professionals who mostly use Microsoft Outlook Exchange for their email.
If they use a computer the signatures are in HTML format but when they use their iOS devices HTML format is not allowed for signatures. (or HTML is crooked and needs to be fixed)
Yup, it’s a work around, but unless you know another way of making life easier, I’d use it. I’m sure Apple know about the problem, but unless you’ve got special connections, use the workaround and move on.
it’s an iPhone issue, right, so I think the mail server is not part of the problem.
You know what? Apple isn't listening. I've spent valuable time with workarounds that sometimes work, sometimes don't.
Finally the solution is easier than one would think. Just ditch iOS Mail and use a different mail client. I'm using Spark as somebody recommended. It completely solves the signature problem, it even allows you to choose from several signatures for your email accounts (graphics and all). And it also has some nice additional features like scheduled email sending.
It's a pity one of Apple's most basic apps is not up to the task, but luckily there are alternatives out there.
Very disturbing. None of the replies have a solution. Of course - this is Community - not support! Apple should take things a little bit more seriously and offer true support and not just "ask the community".
Shallow, Apple, shallow. Grow up. You can afford to fix bugs. But can you afford not to?
*where is the "iFrustration" logo/emoji?
AmiOlsen,
Find the post about using the Spark App to create the signature with a logo. Make sure you cut and paste the logo FROM an email generated by the Spark App. It did not work for the the first time because I did not do this.
It has worked for me ever since, even through the most recent update on both my iPhone and iPad.
Once completed delete your account from the Spark App, or not. It doesn't matter.
I have been using the signature created by the Spark App for multiple months, November, December? Still works on my iPhone and iPad. Make sure that "show images" slider is turned on under mail settings.
