Ringer volume continues to reset to low

After update to v13.0 (now 13.1.2) ringer volume continues to reset to low. Have the "change with buttons" set to off. Will set the ringer to max, later will check (after missed calls and texts) and ringer is set to low or off. Have performed a hard reset several times as well.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Check all these 3 settings (especially #3 a & b)

1. Silent switch (above volume up button) isn't in silent mode.

2. Settings → Do Not Disturb → Do Not Disturb = OFF

3. Settings → Sound & Haptics → RINGER AND ALERTS:

a. Slide Volume all the way to the right.

b. Change with Buttons = OFF

After extensive troubleshooting, the ringer volume problem happens whenever I connect my Plantronics Bluetooth headset. The ringer volume keeps changing (in my case to high volume). When I disconnect the Bluetooth headset the ringer volume behave normal. I tried AirPods and works fine with no issues so far.

Not sure if my Bluetooth headset is malfunctioning or it is a compatibility issue with iOS 13.1.2

Same here. Volume changes when Plantronics Voyager 5200 is connected. In fact, just using the keyboard on the phone, the typing causes the volume to change. This only happens when the Bluetooth (BT) is connected, usually the volume goes up each time you press a key (letter, number, etc.). This has been going on since version 13, and still happening with 13.3. Have also verified the Plantronics device has the latest firmware update as of 12/29/2019.

Just an update after iOS update to 13.3.1. When coming off BT in my vehicle, the ringer volume drops to zero.

Since iOS 13 was released in the fall and the ringer and media volume controls were separated, this has been an ongoing issue. I am now in the habit of exiting my vehicle and immediately bringing the ringer volume back to max.

As good as my experience has been with Apple support in the past, this issue continues to be an extreme annoyance that is being ignored.

Once again - Apple, you are much better than this.

Agree it is really irritating. Finding mine was related to BT in car, didn’t help me really...tried all the normal reboot/re-pair stuff, still no improvement.

Whether random, or related to BT in car, or something else, iOS 13 has introduced some very irritating unwanted ringer volume setting changes to many people.

Actually, some have also reported the ringer volume goes way up, to 100%, when they wanted it set low. In car and random. Don’t laugh, but I might just try setting it low, and see if after next car trip it goes up to 100% (and then stays there)!

Nope. The issue still persists. This happens when my vehicles Bluetooth connects. This is only on my iPhone 11 with 13.x - it was working fine pre-13 on my iPhone 6.

its also not just the ringer volume. My music plays big because the volume is 0 there’s no sound. So every time I get into the car and the phone connects the volume resets to 0 and I have to set it to the mid point. However even the. It somehow resets to another volume level wherever it feels like it. Very annoying. They should just use the software from before.
