Can I put Live Photos into a slideshow?

Hello. I use Fotomagico to create slideshows and would like to include the full animation and sound of a few of my Live Photos in the show (i.e. a few tasteful stills of wife in labor, then a live of her holding the crying baby).

Flip side of the same question, when using Final Cut Pro, I’d like to do the same thing in a movie, bring in a few stills, then a Live Photo showing the animation and sound.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to accomplish these?

Hi Philzi1,

Thanks for posting your question about Live Photos. I have a resource that should answer your question, titled Create slideshows in Photos on Mac:

"After you create a slideshow, you can add or delete photos at any time. You can also add text to selected slides. The text position and font is determined by the theme you chose. When you add a Live Photo to a slideshow, it appears as a still image."

Based on the above, you would see any Live Photos as a still image in slideshows or other video apps. If you'd like, you can always send your suggestion to Apple: Product Feedback

Hi Joseph - thank you kindly for the response, but the question is a bit more complex - what I'm after is a way to way to show the full animation that gets capture by a Live Photo - both the video and sound. I was wondering if there's a way to export it as a .mov or convert it somehow, and then drop it into a slideshow of Final Cut video. Probably the best thing would be to shoot a video but sometimes you work with what you have...
