Apple SD Card reader not working in IOS 13

I too had the issue on my new iPad Air 2019, I couldn't import photo's. It worked on my older iPad though.

Yesterday I installed iPadOS 13.3.1 and now I can import photo's again! When you open the Photos app and you connect the SD Card Reader, a couple of seconds later the Import function will show up on the bottom right of the app and you can start importing your photo's.

Just figured out that I cannot attach the black barred "cloud" videos to an imessage.

They cannot be selected. I click on them and nothing happens, (blue check mark shows up when selecting any other video or photo that has a thumbnail with an image from the video).

In a nutshell, I cannot see photos on SD card on iPad or iPhone photo apps. Yes, I see the 'import' button, but it doesn't see the photos. I have a few other problems with photos in IOS, but anyway... If I connect the SD Card to the device, and go into the Files app, I see the photos. I can select them and save them and they then appear in the Recent Folder. Problem 'solved'

I thought the same too, but looks like it just doesnt pops up anymore. But you can now see it from Files App.

I tried that on both my iPhone X and first generation iPad Pro and it does not work on either. I’m angry that Apple has basically bricked this useful device after a short life span.

Where in the Files App - can't see it anywhere - doesn't work on two different iPhones (6S and 7) or on an (admittedly older) iPad - using the apple SD card reader with lightning adapter

My apple as memory card reader is not working now after updates

My ios13.1.3 I phone 7 will not upload pictures anymore from my sd card readers. I have tried 2 different card readers and phone will not read anything.

I’m a hunter as well. I have numerous brands of trail cams. My Boneview reader quit so I got a lightning reader. I’ve installed 4 different card reader apps to no avail. What did you find out?

If you’ll go to photo album after you connect it now, after a few seconds in bottom right corner an upload will pop up. Works now.
