email threading replies not showing up

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're not seeing your replies show in the email thread unless you're looking at the thread from the "Sent" folder. I can see why you'd reach out about this; I'd like to help. First, I'd recommend verifying that you have your threading preferences set to your liking in Settings:

"Show the whole conversation

Go to Settings  > Mail, then turn on Organize by Thread.

To change how threads are displayed, you can also change other settings in Settings > Mail—such as Collapse Read Messages or Most Recent Message on Top."

After checking those options, I'd suggest trying a new test thread with your daughter or another contact to see if the behavior persists outside of the thread with your daughter.

I am having the same issue where my email replies are not showing in the thread. Unfortunately, the advice given did not help as my settings are set as suggested. I know that my replies are being received (I see them in sent) but I need to see them in the thread (as I can in Outlook). Please advise.
