"the favourites. but if it is necessary to delete all bookmarks in order to delete the favourites, it is also fine"

I'm not so certain you can remove just the favorites. But you can remove Remove the Bookmarks and all should be empty. To Do So, Use Spotlight Search to access and Move the Bookmarks.plist file to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. All Bookmarks should be rid of.

So...

I. Use Spotlight Search

  1. Hold Down: the command key
  2. Press: the spacebar
  3. Type: ~/Library/Safari

That should reveal Safari in Finder

II. Delete the Bookmarks File: Bookmarks.plist

  1. Click: on an empty spot on the Desktop
  2. Move: Bookmarks.plist to the Desktop

That Should Rid of All Bookmarks

III. Relaunch Safari

  1. Quit: Safari
  2. Open: Safari
  3. View: Bookmarks Folder

The Bookmarks Folder Should Now Be Empty

BTW:

To Re-import these: Move Bookmarks.plist to Library/Safari
