After updating to 13.1.2, now when I select the email icon, it automatically opens the first email instead of just displaying all the emails in my inbox.
How can I make it just open the inbox like before?

Have you tried to "force" close your Apple Mail app, using these steps?:--> How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
When done, restart your iPhone, then test again your mail app.
