Find my friends app

When my phone updated, the Find My Friends app disappeared. So I went to the App Store to redownload but “ This app requires specific features not available on this device.”

how am I able to re-download the Find My friends app? Why would the update make my phone illegible for the app?

You do not need it. Functions of Find My Friends are now a part of Find My app.
