Since updated to IOS 13, Safari deletes my open tabs. Occasionally they come back, then they are gone again. Is there hope they will come back and stay?

Same here. Ever since updating to IOS13 safari closes my open tabs every few days.

and NO the auto close safari tabs command is switched off.

This only happens on my ipad, not on iphone. Then again on ipad the playlists are messed up, not on iphone.

sigh,.. IOS13 is a buggy mess

The new release did not solve the problem. It continually happens even after I did a complete clean install of iPadOS. It does it both in the normal screens and in private. I have to agree this is absolutely the worst iOS Apple split out

Are you using Private Browsing in Safari? Safari on iPadOS 13 should not delete your open tabs.

Same problem here.

and then a few times it has told me “ You have 501 tabs open do you want to close them”, although I can only see one.

Everyone in this post update to the latest iOS 13.2.2 update.

It solves a bunch of issues.

iOS 13.2.2 was released, yesterday.

iOS 13.2 was released a week before that.

just updated and it still happens. Doesn’t occur systematically, only when I least expect it.
