java for macos 2017-001 won't install

I updated my MacBook Pro to macOS Catalina today. When I tried to open the Frostwire app it prompted me to install legacy Java SE 6 runtime, which I did. The link took me to a download page on my Safari browser and I was able to download the file. After opening the javaforosx.dmg file and following the prompts I kept running into an issue where it says I already have a newer version of the package installed and therefore it will not allow me to install the package on my drive, which will in turn allow Frostwire to work. I've tried uninstalling all java and I am still unsuccessful. Does anyone have a solution to suggest PLEASE?

Apple's Java 6 is no longer supported on Catalina, so the Java for macOS 2017-001 installer is toast too. Replace the old 32-bit Java 6 dependent applications with Catalina compatible applications, or use them on older releases of macOS than Catalina.
