New Apple TV app on macOS Catalina not allowing me to play my purchased movies or tv shows. When I open the app -> Library -> click on my purchased content -> hover over the movie/episode -> click the play button. It takes me into full screen mode and shows a black screen.

Try signing out of your Apple ID and then sign in again.

Downloaded or in the cloud? Did the same items play before the update? I'm getting an HDCP warning for downloaded media, and stuff that is in the cloud just isn't playing at all. I'm hooked up to this monitor on VGA so I guess I need to swap that to eliminate the HDCP issue, but I could stream in Mojave.

The content was purchased, so id say it was in the cloud. the items play on all of my other devices except my MacBook. Before the update it played in iTunes and that app is no longer around and was replaced by tv app.
