Catalina bricked my 2015 MacBook Pro. What to do now?
I’ve just “upgraded” to Catalina.
My laptop is now bricked.
All I get is the “folder?” logo or nothing at all if I try “option” or “command R” on boot up.
What to do now?

Today, when updating the macbook pro 2017, black screen appeared, after no reactions to buttons combinations....
unfortunately no way to see the internal volume.... any other suggestions?
I got my mother board replaced for free by Apple. Push and they will do it.
My mac is a 2014 MacBook Pro.
Buy a Dell
Thanks, mine is a late model 2013.
Everything working now. solved. But let's face it, Catalina has serious problems
Same issue here after the subsequent update.
Yes it’s painful, and no, Apple is not perfect. In the long run, though, you will be happy with your choice.
Sounds like you had a 32-bit version of Microsoft Office installed. Catalina does not support 32-bit anything. This was known. You will need to update your word software or go back to Mojave.
Hi! I'm having the same issue and I also live in Poznan, could you tell me to which place you took your macbook to, and what exactly they said? Would really appreciate it!
Yeap. Tried all the boot up sequences. That’s the scary part. The firmware was corrupted that your cannot boot via any alternative way.
I bought mine to 2 different stores. Neither accepts it’s the Catalina installation
So firmware is what will understand those keystrokes. If the firmware is corrupted. None of the keystrokes will work
