virtual box crashes

Try running the following command on yours Mac terminal:

VBoxManage setextradata global GUI/HidLedsSync 0

(I had the same problem and this worked for me)

As mentioned previously, this worked for me as well:

VBoxManage setextradata global GUI/HidLedsSync 0

You will likely need to wait until the Virtualbox team releases an update beyond 6.0.12, and whose changelog explicitly states that is is compatible with Catalina.

Thank you. for a long time I was looking for a fix to this problem. It seems to work for me with osx 10.14.6 and vbox 6.0.14 r133895 (QT5.6.3)

That works but also makes the VBox run slower, at least that happened to me

Have the same problem with Linux VMs.

This last workaround worked for me. Catalina asks again to grant access to receive all keyboard typing. I was irritated whether this is nessesary. Denied and so far everything fine in virtual Windows :-)

If you are running Linux server on VirtualBox 6.0.12, start VM under headless mode will not crash.

The uncheck trick worked for me, as well.
