Protection glass on iPad Pro 3rd gen

I have the iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen with a protection glass. I had a problem using notes with bullets. I took to apple store and they said apple did not test with protection glass and that it would not work. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Since my visit, apple replaced my iPad because after test, they discovered the screen was bad.

Yes it was resolved by swapping out for a new iPad but my concern is I’ve always had a screen protector on my iPad and my iPhone and was wondering if this problem would occur again if I purchase another glass.
