Music Remote

I have the same problem ... contacted Apple today and they are aware of it, however they would not comment on how or if they plan to address the issue. As told I submitted feedback via Apple Feedback regarding this. I would strongly suggest that others do the same as well as post to this discussion. It will take the Apple community here to get this problem addressed.

It's difficult to provide feedback when there is no option for either the Remote iOS App nor Music OS app! They have broken this app in the past and it does eventually get fixed, but it is frustrating to lose such an integral part of listening to music.

Does anyone know of a 3rd party app that works? I use Rowmote Pro and can: Pause/play, skip FW/BW, Mute but that is all.

This is a really frustrating omission. I am a ballet teacher, and use my phone and my watch as remotes to control music playbook on my Macbook Pro all the time. Please fix this! I can still control my iPhone with my watch, so the software exists to control the music app remotely.

Yes. Please bring back compatibility for the remote app. I have airport expresses and/or airplay speakers in every room of the house. Please bring this great feature back. I need to be able to interact with my music library from anywhere in the home.

Yes. Same problem. Really big library rendered useless because remote doesn’t work and my mini is not easily accessible. This is unacceptable. I’m a dyed in the wool mac fan. This is the first time I’ve been so upset that I seriously am looking at dumping all my mac computers and moving away. Sad after originally having pleasure of working with Apple Lisa in 1984!
