I don't know why any of us should think that Pages would be a reliable publishing platform. Apple's track record on sustained support for business tools is patchy to say the least.

I’ve been trying pages since the end of days email for iBooks Author. It’s good apart from, I can’t get the link to work and my photography books really heavily on that...

I think although I haven’t published out of pages yet but you can add a cover in iTunes producer.

Is it an idea to make a list of things we (as users of Author) don't like or miss in Pages? Open a new thread for it?

I recently updated two books which when published work fine. The warning is off but doesn’t seem to affect the finished book
