How, exactly, does one search for a song among thousands in the Catalina library? And how, exactly, does one search for a song on the iTunes store post-Catalina? I'm asking, because the search window on both the library and store have been deleted in the brilliant new Catalina music app.
iMac Line (2012 and Later)
I hate the new search results page as I want results displayed in list view and there's no option to change it from its default. However, if you select Songs and then select View > Show Filter Field; a new field appears in the top right corner of the app. The results from that field are taken from your current library of music and is displayed in a similar manner to the old search.
Unfortunately the filter field isn't permanently displayed, so you may have to repeat those steps to re-display it.
dsfagundes is correct. Be prepared, though; when you search in your library, the results will show up as a grid, with option to change the view - at least none that I could find.
Another "improvement" to the music player developed by those geniuses at Apple. :-(
