I have also exactly same issue and still my MacBook Pro under Apple Care coverage. I sent my Mac three times to get fixed however they could not fix it. They even replaced logic board but problem is still continuing. Eventually, a Apple agent contacted me to help. We tried some ways together with screen share she guided me. However result is same. And then she sent me below message :
“Apple has received reports of this behavior and those reports are under investigation. At this time there is no resolution. They recommend keeping your operating system up to date and when there is a resolution I will be emailed and can reach out to you, to keep you updated.“
I think problem about Catalina and we will face this problem until Apple fixes with new update. But my Apple Care is ending in January 2021 and if the next update can not fixed my issue I have to pay for repair if they can find the problem. For that reason I am planning to visit Apple store to talk with store manager.
