macos catalina keeps restarting my computer

i have the same problem with my macbook pro late 2012´s, and its only behaving like these since i installed Catalina, its also overheating very quickly for no reason

Same issue. 2019 mbpro 16", 2.3 i9, 32GB ram, macOS 10.15.4

@dbgfede Both options are already off for Power Adapter (the laptop is always connected). For Battery both are on (but I rarely use it with battery since the time when the issue started).

Curios to understand if there is any software ...e.g. ClaeanMyMac X?

Hi Guys, I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Just bought a new mac air 2019 and updated to most recent update.

The computer restarts itself randomly without prompt. see my crash log

Turns out this setting was already unticked. Is there any other solutions?

Has anyone found a resolution to this yet? my laptop just went grey again then restarted itself. It seems to happen the next day whenever I close the lid and the laptop goes to sleep.

any updates on if the new release fixes this?

2018 Air Retina same issue after update to OS 10.15.5

I updated to Catalina 10.15.4 this morning, and in the 2 hours gap I was using it, I already had to restart my computer 3-4 times. It just shuts down, sometimes with a woof of air. (English isn't my maternal tongue sorry for the mistakes)

I had to restart the update too, about 3 times, because the computer was shutting down by itself while making the update (!!!) That should have made me think twice about persevering with the update...

I've been bottle fed by MacIntosh, than Apple practically since I was born, and I never ever encountered this kind of problem. It actually getting on my nerves because this kind of crap never happens with Macs!

MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019), 2,6 GHz Intel Core i7, bought on Christmas 2019.

Found this on another thread. I think this is it since I used a timer to see when the computer would shut down and it was exactly at 15 min so:

"Here's the fix, and Apple needs to fix this on their side too!

Go to System Preferences | Security & Privacy | Click on "Advanced" on bottom right (unlock padlock first) | Uncheck "Logout after 15 minutes of inactivity"

This was the fix, i no longer have the rebooting happening thankfully. I've had this Macbook Pro for 6 years, never knew that this option even existed in all these years! It somehow got enabled with 10.15.4 upgrade?!"

I did everything suggested and it persisted, so I reloaded Mojave and everything is fine. so it tells me OS

Catalina has a problem.

Same problem with Catalina 10.15.3 MacBook Pro (15 pollici, 2019). Reboot without reason in stand by. Same message "reboot because problem"

Go to system preference/energy saver/...take off the "enable power nap", both situations, ...please let me know if it works
