Severe glitching, possible graphics card artifacts in Final Cut Pro X 10.4.7

I just upgraded to 10.4.7 on my work computer and am now getting these insane glitches that appear to be graphics card artifacts. They eff up the entirety of running FCPX and also seem to mess with the Finder and other programs while Final Cut is open. Here's an a video screencap with an example. https://youtu.be/WvVZHfNBdzs

Flickering screen/artifacts on 2009 Mac Pro I have an Early 2009 Mac Pro (with the firmware flashed to 5,1) with an rx 560 graphics card. It's currently on High Sierra (I'm not sure about the exact version, but if anyone wants to know I can look). Also, when I use Parallels and play games on Windows, the issue is gone (it was the same case for someone else who had the problem. The difference was that they said that if you restart or put in the original graphics card and restart it should fix it, but it doesn't for me). I could update to Mojave, but my dad (who was the previous owner and is the tech guy in my family) said that he had a lot of problems and glitches on there. The thing is... I never saw the flickering when he played Minecraft on Mojave... Someone else also said to update the firmware to 138.0.0.0, but I'm on 144.0.0.0.0 and I still have the issue (or can I only access that firmware in Mojave?) It would be greatly appreciated if someone would have a solution (and if I must update to Mojave, I'll talk to my dad)

Screen goes nuts when FCPX is running Something unusual has started happening when I am using Final Cut Pro X. When I do something else which requires graphics (like Mission Control, for instance) the screen goes nuts and multicoloured, like a 60's rock concert poster. If I quit FCPX, it solves the problem, although for some reason the title menu bar appears distorted still, as if the colour values are messed up. Any idea why this could be happening and only when FCPX is running? It happened using Mojave and still with Catalina, by the way. Could there be some issue with my graphics card in my iMac?

Metal Engine update issue Anyone else experiencing an issue with glitching graphics (screen looks like an old VCR tape that needs tracking adjustment) after installing the latest update? Latest iMovie is also affected. Graphics card compatibility issue? Very puzzled. Any help is greatly appreciated. Looks like someone in your YouTube comments posted the solution.

What is your system config? Does disabling “Increase contrast” and “Reduce transparency” in the Accessibility Preferences fix it for you?

There is something differently not working correctly with 10.4.7 - I can no longer us my mLut Library by motionVFX. After applying Lut the video turns black.
