Find my iPhone is now hopeless. The map is too vague and there’s no option to go hybrid or satellite.
what's going on? The other week my daughter had her phone pickpocketed and because iOS 12 had detail they could see the phone was still in the club for half hour before it started moving and they tracked it down to a specific house. Now, with the new incarnation you’ve got no chance of doing this.
Please bring this functionality back!!!

Yes I’m going to have to . This is ridiculous. They’ve taken functionality away by the way it works now. I’ve loved having the iPhone for 7 years but I feel the time is coming when it’s going to be ditched. I SO wish I could go back to iOS 12. Also two factor requires two Apple products and they keep pushing for us to sign up for that too. How’s that going to work in a lost phone scenario when youre trying to log in to a friends phone and you need two factor but your phone is the one that’s been lost and the one you would get the log in code for the two factor confirmation from 🤨🤔🙄
Thanks for the clarification. But that means I’m correct. In my daughters scenario when she had her phone stolen, a friend could not have helped her log in to find my iPhone or iCloud if she’d had two factor set up. As it was they could track her phone until it left the club.

That sounds correct ... if ... she doesn't have another trusted device and requesting account recovery is not a feasible option.

That’s what I just did. I’m not a complete novice . I do know what I’m doing. It redirects you to iCloud. I used my daughters Apple ID to test it out.
