Can't login to iCloud (macOS Catalina)

Since I updated to Catalina, system preferences has been asking me to enter my iCloud password to finish setting up. I enter the password and it asks for my Mac password. I enter that and it asks for iCloud again. It just keeps looping.

I have this same issue. I am logged in to my iCloud and it is working OK but I am being asked to update Apple ID settings continually and then my Mac Admin password exactly as the original poster has posted.

The trouble seems to be with the Keychain service as it is deselected and it is not letting me set up this service which I really would like.

Is there a way to solve this. It seems like a loop.
