Catalina "MAIL UPGRADE" stuck!

Catalina installed....

MAIL UPGRADE

shows: "Upgrade your Mail database... This may take a few minutes."

HOURS go by and the progress bar does not move stuck at 1/4" progress on the 4" bar.

I've forced-quit MAIL (twice), restarted the iMac 27" (twice.)

Any advice about what to delete in CONTAINERS? or other fix?

MacOS High Sierra Mac Mail Causing Mac to Reset When Opened Hi, Last week my iMac (mid-2010 model) began restarting for no reason. After doing some diagnostics I was able to determine it was my mail causing the issue. I'm unable to open the mail to do any further diagnostics within the app. Before I did the step below I would open the mail and the iMac would just restart instantly. So far I've tried to do the following ~/Library/Containers//Data/Library/Preferences - look for the and drag it to desktop and restart the mail. When I reopen the mail now it will import 130,000 and once it has done that my iMac just restarts again. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance, Stuart

That happened to me to and then I checked the disk activity and could see that the mail app was doing disk reads. Since I have over 70k emails I figured it might take awhile. 6 - 7 hours later it was done.
