Hello kivilag,
Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. I see you're not able to send iMessages to non-iPhone users from your Mac.
It sounds like you'll want to check out this resource to ensure you have Text Message Forwarding configured correctly after the update: How to forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your iPad, iPod touch or Mac
Hopefully this will help to get you back up and running with iMessages on your Mac. Cheers.
iMessages never went through to Android users. iMessage (blue texts in the iOS messaging app) require both sender and receiver to be using an Apple device. You can send SMS/MMS texts from an iPhone and you can pair that iPhone with an iPad or Mac to share the phones carrier based texting services.
Check on the iPhone itself, in message settings, that the “forwarding” setting to the Mac did not get reset with the update.
