Airport Extreme Time Capsule

We have 2 iMacs and a MacBook Pro which we back up to an Airport Extreme Time Capsule. We have just updated our devices to Catarina and find that we cannot see any of the old back ups. They are there as we are being advised the Disk is full. What is the best way to remove ALL of the memory on the Disk and re-backup our devices so we have a new backup for all our devices, there will be sufficient space on Time Capsule for the devices.

The "best" way would be via the AirPort Utility, as follows:

  1. Run the AirPort Utility, select the Time Capsule (TC), and then, select Edit.
  2. Select the Disks tab.
  3. Select the disk partition. By default it is called "Data."
  4. Select Erase Disk... You can just select "Quick Erase (non-secure)" for this process.

Note: You may want to archive this partition to an external USB driver, BEFORE you delete it. Just in case you need to access these backups in the future.
