FCPX latest update video rendering error 10008

Hi,

Working on a feature documentary. Been on it for the last three years editing it. I'm nearly done. FCPX updated last week, I didn't realise it would as I left my mac on overnight. Thats not the problem though.

Now I've been trying to get playout from the near complete project and I keep getting this code:

video rendering error 10008

When I share through Compressor, whereas FCPX just freezes.

Looking online, numerous people say I need to identify the clips and replace them. I have never had this issue before. As I have said I have been editing it on and off for three years now-never had any problems playing the very same project and clips out. (I have cleared render files, etc, etc)...

Any solutions? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

First delete all render files. You may as well delete preferences for good measure.

If the problem is a bad render file this should fix things. If not then there may be a problem with one of the clips. You may then try the divide and conquer method. Export roughly half of your timeline, and keep zeroing in on the bad clip. But my guess is that it is just a bad render file.

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestions.

It still continues at three precise points in the timeline and nothing I do seems to resolve the issue. I can't share as it fails at three exact spots.

I trashed the renders, I found the original clips, re-transcoded them to ProRes, replaced them entirely on the timeline. Deleted all original material, etc. Nothing I do has prevented the problem at these points.

I've also created a new project in a new library and added all the clips to the new project. I don't know why, but I'm still getting problems.

Of course I have trashed preferences, etc.

I can edit as normal with no problems. It's just sharing that causes the issue.

To get a full playout, I export sections and rebuild them, and export that. Not sure what else I can do sadly....
