Please let us know if the new OS update has fixed your wifi connectivity

1. does it work well coming out of sleep?
2. is the range better than on the initial OS?
3. additional comments on changes you have noticed to wifi operation (stability, speed to lock onto signal, etc)

here is how i got better wireless connection.

i use linksys wap54g.

1) changed wireless channel to 1 on wap54g
2) use a static ip address rather than dhcp.

No more 'connecting' message and no more dropped connections.

I'm not seeing dropped connections or low signal strength. I just seem to no longer have a connection almost like a lost default gateway. I'm using apple airport express ap connected to a Uverse network. I have not tried this at my office where I also use airport express units.

My problems seems to have been a WiFi one and having rebooted everything and a good nights sleep, all seems to be OK now

Excellent to hear! Rebooting everything...and I mean everything involved often clears up problems I encounter now and then with my WiFi network overall. Speeds often improve and various WiFi enabled devices seem to have a much easier time communicating.

In addition to the previously mentioned problem i have Accessing to wifi on hotels etc with iPad, where access with iPhone 4 works fine.
iPad shows signal strength of 1 bar where iPhone shows 3 bars.

The issue is constant with wifi's where login via a webpage us required. The initial negotiation with the router seems ok, whereas it is as if the submitting of the entered login details does not occur.

Have experienced this on 3 different hotels now.

Has anyone been able to fix the internet issue with the ipad upgrade. I just upgraded my ipad 2 days ago and now can not connect to any wireless. I keep getting the "unable to connect" pop-up and all the other wireless products in my home are working fine. I have tried resettign the network numerous times, turning on and off wi-fi numerous times, i even reset my ipad to factory settings, please help!!! I am so angry, getting ready to throw this ipad against the wall. It's not like we can plug it into the modem for internet service, the darn thing relies on wi-fi to work and this is so frushtrating!!!!
