Safari loading blank pages

SOLVED - I too had this problem on my iPhone XR, iOS 13.1.3 and solved it by setting the Zoom to standard:

Settings - Display & Brightness - Display Zoom - View - Select Standard - Press Set in top right corner

I have the same issue and reported to apple several months ago - The issue is still happening using IOS 13.3. I have provided my Apple senior advisor with screen shots and web links to demonstrate when the issue occurs, which is about every day now.

I keep having to delete web page data, etc.

I am assured by Apple 'that Technical is looking at it but as it is not a wide spread issue, it's not at the top of their list' - It has been suggested that rather than wait for a software update (if they're not taking the issue seriously, the update is hardly going to sort it) I back up my devise on iTunes and reinstall system software - I have refused to do this.

I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro

Standard view vs Zoomed view does not work. Clearing website data does not work. All experimental features turned off, still not working. The only thing that does work for me is turning Java OFF, not having it turned ON. But that’s no resolution cause many times Java is needed on many websites, especially for login and password dialogue pop ups. Seems like Java and iOS 13.3 are not jiving.

Just a clarifying comment to the original post. Closing and opening Safari does *not* resolve this issue. Only a reboot of the iPhone fixes the issue until it crops up again a day or two later. This needs to be clear to Apple so they can see how frustrating this is

Ever since the 13 update, I have been getting blank pages in safari. Only closing the app and reopening will help it, for a time. Many other posters have tried pretty much everything else to no avail. Apple support is not a help and Apple itself not working on a fix. “ not a widespread problem” yet most apple users I talk to are having thus prob.

and now, when I google search, many many links are being redirected to about:blank. Grrr

All...First post, I don’t normally post on forums but having had this problem and having tried everything listed throughout this thread, I think I have found a solution that works for me and thought I should share it. I was having issues with some specific UK websites and it seems that turning off ‘prevent cross-site tracking’ in Safari has rectified this. My wife had this set to off on her iPhone and could load the websites, but when I put prevent cross site tracking on, the same issues occurred on her phone. I’m not sure if the issue is with Apple or with the the website in terms of not being able to prevent cross tracking. Hopefully this will help & maybe someone with more technical knowledge could shed some further light.

I have the same issue on my iPhone X running iOS 13.1.2. I don’t know if this has permanently solved the problem but I went into Settings > Safari > Advanced > Experimental Features and turned everything off. I don’t see the issue but I only recently made these changes so time will tell.

I'm wondering if anyone knows which exact setting is causing this? It's a bit tedious to go through each one and wait for it to "magically" occur. I'm really surprised Apple hasn't caught this bug yet as I have a standard iPhone X and the latest version. It happens on very common pages like Wikipedia.

If you want to, you can send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.

You can clear website data occasionally to improve Safari performance. If you still need help, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings > Safari.
2. Tap Clear History and Website data.
3. Tap Clear History and Data to confirm.

Worked for me!

This has been driving me crazy but I found the issue. Make sure JavaScript is ON in the Safari advanced settings. I had turned it off in the name of better security but it seems to have broken many sites resulting in that white/blank page. Hope that helps.

You’re lucky. It’s much worse with an iPad Pro. I took screen shots. Notice that the Apple site loaded around a quarter down the page and it’s behind and showing through the address bar. I wrote this comment and tried to post it and my iPad is frozen and I could not post. This was, mind you, three attempts with clearing Safari’s history and cache. 13.3.1 is a disaster

Same issue. iPhone 6s. Safari in iOS 13 has just been a little buggy. Loads blank screens, website seems jumbled up. When I’m able to click “Show Reader View”, it’s seems to load the page, or at least where I can read it. Hope they fix it

Also, unrelated, mail app does the same thing. Sort of loads bits and pieces.

I have the same issues on my iPad Pro 10.5 after updating to iOS 13. No updates after that has fixed the Safari loading blank pages. I have done everything including resetting and reinstalling the software....Please post any solutions if anyone has....

I also have same bug with IOS 13.2. The JavaScript suggestion is not the fix, since my setting has been on. Also, the zoom suggestion is plausible since the content is sometimes broken up in smaller chunks that could correspond to a mistakenly smaller screen. I’m going to try the experimental settings, seemingly the more likely to be buggy!
