Safari loading blank pages

This is an iPhone 8 with iOS 13.1.2. Ever since my update to iOS 13, Safari returns a blank page when loading a webpage.

Upon starting Safari, everything is fine. After some length of time browsing websites, eventually the bug will appear. Every webpage I try loading, a blank page will appear. Curiously, I can see the webpage in reading mode. Sometimes, I can see the webpage in the tab switcher. But the actual page is blank. Nothing is wrong with any of these websites, as the pages load properly in other browsers. Also, if I close and reopen Safari, everything will be working again.

Any thoughts? Please no irritating suggestions to hard reset or backup and reinstall. I’m looking for specific ideas or conjectures as to what the culprit is.

SOLVED - I too had this problem on my iPhone XR, iOS 13.1.3 and solved it by setting the Zoom to standard:

Settings - Display & Brightness - Display Zoom - View - Select Standard - Press Set in top right corner

Hope this helps.

I also have same bug with IOS 13.2. The JavaScript suggestion is not the fix, since my setting has been on. Also, the zoom suggestion is plausible since the content is sometimes broken up in smaller chunks that could correspond to a mistakenly smaller screen. I’m going to try the experimental settings, seemingly the more likely to be buggy!

This is pathetic. 189 me too’s, and three months of complaints!

After about 5 or so sites, the browser just... fades away. Every page is rendered as white on white. The reader view will work, so the pages ARE loading, but the rendering is unreadable. Chrome doesn’t have this problem, nor did Safari in IOS 12.

Apple: You are FAILING at something simple, and expected of you! Now, FIX IT!

I have the same issue and reported to apple several months ago - The issue is still happening using IOS 13.3. I have provided my Apple senior advisor with screen shots and web links to demonstrate when the issue occurs, which is about every day now.

I keep having to delete web page data, etc.

I am assured by Apple 'that Technical is looking at it but as it is not a wide spread issue, it's not at the top of their list' - It has been suggested that rather than wait for a software update (if they're not taking the issue seriously, the update is hardly going to sort it) I back up my devise on iTunes and reinstall system software - I have refused to do this.

I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro

It really hacks me off that Apple just don't seem to be interested

Wow. Not a widespread issue? I see posts about this on the internet, not just in apple forums. Due to the widespread use of iOS across the globe and the fact that most ppl think it’s too much of a hassle to complain so just keep closing the app and reopening, I would bet to guess that there are several thousand ppl who do not make apple aware for each one of us who do. And this is not the only board post about this in apple discussions. Need a big fix now Apple.

Ever since the 13 update, I have been getting blank pages in safari. Only closing the app and reopening will help it, for a time. Many other posters have tried pretty much everything else to no avail. Apple support is not a help and Apple itself not working on a fix. “ not a widespread problem” yet most apple users I talk to are having thus prob.

and now, when I google search, many many links are being redirected to about:blank. Grrr

I'm having the same frustrating problem. I have an iPhone 7 running on OS 13.3.1. The problem began shortly after I updated to OS 13; particularly when using Safari (but other issues occur, like the screen freezing) but for Safari, I will get a white screen. If i scroll down I can see glimpses of the website, but only at the top or bottom of the screen, and further scrolling either way and it disappears. I tried changing the settings to Reader View, and Desktop Website. At first it will work, but then once I scroll, it will turn white again. I've tried deleting all of my browsing history, closed all open tabs, closed all open apps, and have deleted internet cookies, and have tried restarting the phone too. It will work for a brief time and then revert to the white screen. I thought maybe it was an internet connection issue, but have tried various wifi networks I know work, and glitchy white screen still occurs. It's getting frustrating because there are no definitive answers on the internet for this. The only logical explanation I might have is maybe the memory. I'm running on a 128GB capacity, and have 31.62 GB remaining. Perhaps the amount of apps and data on the phone is causing corruption? As mentioned, other issues have started, like home screen freezing, iPhone playing dead as if the battery is drained, but once i plug it in, it's still got full power. It does loose battery much quicker. Any help would be appreciated.

You’re lucky. It’s much worse with an iPad Pro. I took screen shots. Notice that the Apple site loaded around a quarter down the page and it’s behind and showing through the address bar. I wrote this comment and tried to post it and my iPad is frozen and I could not post. This was, mind you, three attempts with clearing Safari’s history and cache. 13.3.1 is a disaster
