Freeze button not showing up

Only a few of my tracks are actually displaying the Freeze button when I have the feature selected. Some will create space for the Freeze button in their Track Header, just with no interactive icon to show for it, while other tracks don't appear to change at all.

I'd like to understand how to make the Freeze button accessible on every track if this isn't some type of bug. Thanks in advance!

Track Header Components I am trying to view the "Freeze" Icon on the channel strips. I have right-clicked (Ctrl Clicked) the tracks and selected "Freeze." The track gets a bit longer - about an icon's size - but the "Freeze" icon does not display. "Input Monitoring" also does not appear. I've scanned the net for answers. Yes, I have stretched out the track and even widened it, but the icons do not appear. This seems to be a recent problem since I have used the "Freeze" option many times. Do you have any answers? Black square appearing over tracks in Logic Pro X. Often when I am scrolling through Logic a grey square appears over tracks. It doesn't affect the audio playback but to make it go away I have to click on a track that is part of that blank space, meaning I have to switch away from a track that I am editing. It's really annoying and happens constantly. Here is a picture of what it looks like. Any way to fix this?

Why freezing makes no difference? Hi I just tried 50 tracks in Logic, with various plug ins, after 10 seconds it stops! so I tried freezing the tracks, and I get exactly the same message, why is this? Many thanks
