Alternative to Office/Word

Consult the LibreOffice user guides written in LibreOffice Writer. Will help flatten the learning curve. Also, on the download page, don't overlook the Release notes because that is where new features are discussed, often with graphical illustration.

You are welcome. For what its worth, I never refer anyone to beta code, or use it myself. LibreOffice v6.3.2.2 is the latest released application (at this time) from LibreOffice that appears in the two prominent download choices, and it is the one that I have installed. Using v6.2.7 will be no issue for you, unless you want to redact content, or use newer version features.

Thanks! Yes I know about those, but I'm finding that LibreOffice is very close to Word.
