Video won't play on my PC since iOS 13.1.2 Update

Ever since I got the latest update (iOS 13.1.2), whenever I transfer a video file I recorded from my phone into my PC, the file will only play audio. I've tried using both Windows Media Player, and Quicktime, but neither of them work. Has anybody else had this issue or know how I can fix it?

Movie data from iPhoneXr doesn't play on my computer I have videos that I recorded on my phone and when I saved them on my computer, they don't play. When I double click the recorded video I get a message, the QuickTime Player can't open. If I right click the file I get to choose to open it with QuckTime, iTunes or VLC. iTunes and VLC plays the sound but no image. Can somebody help me, I am not super comp say :-) Thank you Ali

No audio when playing Photos app video Hello, I need help figuring something out. I have some videos on my iPhone from YouTube that are saved in my Photos app. The audio for some of these videos was working fine when I first saved them to my Photos app. However, something happened that caused the audio button to turn grey and the audio to disappear from the video: This is the “Options Bar” below the video with no sound. Notice the greyed out volume option which allows you to turn the audio on and off for the video. (When it’s blue, that is!) You used to be able to transfer the video to the VLC app (third-party app,) which somehow brought the audio back to the video. But even this doesn’t work anymore. Any suggestions in fixing this issue are appreciated. Thanks. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

The video codec used by QuickTime is too new for Windows.

Switch the settings to Most Compatible and your future videos will work just fine.

Settings﹥Camera﹥Formats﹥Most compatible

Additionally, transferring the file again with different settings, will convert to a format that is compatible with the importing device.
