system extension blocked not showing

Hi all,

I am trying to install AVG antivirus on my mac running 10.14.6. After installation it tells me it is not working yet as I have to allow the system extension in security > general at the bottom of that screen. (link) However, for me nothing is showing, not a popup nor the "allow" button that is shown in the FAQ.

I have this with all software that is is requesting this permission, not just AVG.

You should probably count your blessings. A Mac doesn't need antivirus apps. One they cause more problems and two, AVG is one of the worst offenders.

As far as why you never see the "Allow" button, are you still Admin? Open System Preferences > Users & Groups and make sure it says "Admin" under your user name and not "Standard".
