iPhone 11 Pro Max clicking noise when pressed

You are wasting your time returning the phones back to iphone! Replacement will be exactly the same. Im on my 3rd 11 Pro Max and every one of them do it. It’s come to the point either accept it or sell it. Its very poor manufacturing really!! Annoying

No it’s not normal - I’ve confirmed it’s a issue. It’s either the adhesive not correctly placed causing the wireless coil to jump up and down - but regardless it’s not normal. It’s not a big problem either.

I agree it’s definitely an issue with the max sized phones which is unfortunate. I would assume everything would be fine if your phone goes in water but maybe go to the Apple store and check with them and see what they think.

I wouldn’t say it’s “normal”. For the price of this phone it should be totally solid and not be making any noises. When I had the 8 plus it was very sturdy! However when I bought the xs Max the body of this phone is super squeaky and clicky. And I bought the 11 pro Max last week and I sent it back because it was making the same noises as the max. Very disappointing.

So your regular sized pros don’t make that clicky sound? I had the iPhone 11 Pro Max and returned mine because it was making the same noise. I have the xs Max and it makes weird sounds too by the Apple logo and on the side. Maybe it’s a max size issue? But I think it’s a little ridiculous for how expensive these phones are!

I have the same problem with my Xs max 256gb . It makes a clackling sound when i push on apple logo or when i push some pressure on side of the phone . I think its a max problem bca i had read all around about this but no one is saying if this is a problem at all or not . Should i put my phone in water or not ?

I exchanged my first iPhone 11 Pro Max bc it was making a clicking noise on the sides of the phone and by the apple logo. And I received my new iPhone 11 Pro Max a day ago and this one does the same thing. Also my iPhone XS Max did the same. This is very disappointing. My son has an iPhone 11 and his doesn’t do this.

Yes nearly all of the phones are refurbished but you can’t really tell as they have a new housing. screen and battery so they look brand new. To be honest most of the 11 pro Max’s have the rear logo that clicks and it’s a great phone overall so it’s probably best to accept that it clicks lol.

What phone company are you ordering it from? Or are you ordering them from Apple? I just returned my second pro Max because mine had a weird clicking noise coming from the side and the back of the phone. I brought it to apple and both workers heard the noise and said this isn’t normal and told me to send it back to T-Mobile and try ordering another one. But this is getting really annoying at this point. Very disappointed.

I think it’s not normal, I have iPhone Xs and it does the same sound near the apple logo. Also, I have an iPad Pro 3rd gen., and it does that clicking sound near the selfie camera. I dont’t know where is the problem😕. Maybe it isn’t glued well... If someone knows what is the problem plsss react!

hi, my 11 pro max has the same problem and it’s not normal. friends brought this phone from Washington to Europe, I'll be in Ordando in a month, I'll see what the apple says.

I can confirm that both 11 Pro Max’s that I had make the clicking noise when the rear apple logo is pressed (my first 11 pro max was replaced by apple for a different fault)

I agree with you! Sounds like they all have this issue. No point on constantly exchanging them because chances are the next one will have the same problem.

If you can barely hear the noise then I would suggest keeping your phone because my clicking noise was very loud and you could get a replacement that has a louder noise than the one you have.

It’s normal, it’s because the back glass is big so it only happens when you press in the middle. I have 3 iPhone 11 pros and none of them make the noise. I had the same issue with the XS Max but it’s because they are bigger phones so when you press down exactly in the middle it hits with the wireless coil
