They just posted an updated scan utility on 11/1/2019. I can use my scanner again!

Thank You Alex_h1 ... I have been to the Canon Printer support page you reference and have found that the scan utility for my MAXIFY MB5020 is not available [yet]. I replied to Canon from the MB5020 page and told them as such but have not heard back yet. I may have to phone them. Have a great Day.
