Im excited to own the new iPhone 11 Pro but after a few weeks of ownership, one of the 3 camera lenses has shattered out. The phone has never dropped or mishandled, just simply normal use in my pocket. I just wanted to make the Apple community aware that the Camera glass is very weak! Buy a case that covers and will well protect the cameras. Ive attached a picture of my phones broken camera lens.

This happened to me this summer... the top camera lens cracked. I called Apple and they were useless, they told me they can’t replace such a small part and the only solution was to replace the whole handset in exchange of £700 (i don’t have apple care).
Of course I said no because this is ridiculous, I didn’t want a new phone I just wanted a new glass camera lens cap which is tiny and shouldn’t be that hard to replace.
In the meantime I stick tape to my camera to prevent dust and damage to the inner lens. I finally found a repair shop that had this tiny part in stock and was willing to replace it for me. Can you guess how much it cost me?

Not ideal but better than not being to use my camera at all. Also my phone was already out of warranty and because it was bought in the US no insurance company other than apple care wanted to insure my phone to begin with. This is just my bad luck...
Now I have a Spigen tempered glass camera protection, it doesn’t look as nice as when it’s without but at least it protects from this stupid thing happening again.
Mine has cracked also, just seen it one day and no idea how it happened ... As previously stated Ive also owned numerous previous iphones and never had this happen before.
Bad design/weaker glass it appears from so many replies here's. Just bought iphone 12 pro so I hope this one is better and improved and not exactly the same glass/design

Take photos with no lens cover.
Then it's likely you'll be living with a damaged phone.
Sapphire crystal is the correct material but I believe that the issue is its thickness... which mean that it breaks easily... Perhaps too easily.

I am SO glad someone finally said something. There’s no need to comment the exact same thing under everyone’s claims that their lens covers have cracked.
Same has happened to me!! I always take the precautions and using case and glass protection. It was in my pocket and the glass broke!
My phone is a baby too. I am noticing that one of the lenses seems to be cracked creating a bunch of shadowy rays in pictures. I've tried cleaning but still there. Very frustrating.
I have been using the lens protector and have cracked a few of them but saved the lens.
The same thing happened to me.

I did contact Apple as I mentioned. I would bet you anything that Apple sure as heck reads these forums, come on man, it's 2020.....
