Trade In Kit - iPhone

A sticker in the trade in kit for my old iPhone includes a sticker with red lines. What is this sticker for? Do I need to put this on the outside of the box when returning my old iPhone for trade-in?

No trade-in kit I just received my new iPhone. It did not have a trade-in kit and there are no instructions about where to send my phone. I have read the How to prepare your device for trade-in article. It does not include instructions to return my old phone. Tom

Trade in kit for iPhone Does it matter which old iPhone I place in my trade in return box? I recently upgraded my 3 iPhones and so far I have only received one box. The label on the return box does not reference any number that I can understand Not sure if I can just place any of my 3 older phones in here.
