Problem using 2 keyboard languages

I have an English and a Spanish keyboard. I use the dictation feature in both languages a lot and it worked great yesterday. Last night I updated the OS to the new version 13.1.3 and now the keyboard changes between languages independently. I can be dictating in Spanish using the Spanish keyboard, the letters on the keyboard are Spanish, but the dictated words are English. Is there a fix for this problem?

My Spanish dictation auto corrects to nonsense in English. Why would that happen when I have the language setting clearly marked for Spanish?

I guess no one cares because the bilingual market must be small. This is really irritating.

Hi sailorchris123,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand that dictation isn’t working as expected on your iPhone after a recent iOS update, and I’d like to assist you.

First, be sure the language you’re wanting to use is selected appropriately before dictating text. Here’s how: Use Dictation on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If needed, head into Settings > General > Keyboard, then toggle off, then on Enable Dictation. Likewise, tap on Keyboards, then remove, then add back the desired keyboards.

Lastly, be sure your device is fully backed up and updated to the most recent version of iOS 13: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

I hope this information is useful. Kind regards.

Super frustrating. It has made Spanish language talk to text largely unusable. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Sometimes it is set for Spanish but switches to English unsolicited. Sometimes it just freezes up and won’t do anything in either language.

i would love for this to get fixed. Two weeks ago, everything worked fine. An update later, and it is a train wreck.
