My "share screen" mac mini keeps going dark since this update. Setting change?

Since updating to Catalina I'm having an issue with my screen share.

My set-up was that I have an iMac now running Catalina. I have a Mac mini elsewhere in the house, no monitor, that I would operate using the finder/network/macmini/sharescreen.

In the past, that screen may go black after a minute or so but would easily resume if I clicked on that window.

Now, after about 30 seconds to a minute of no action that window goes black and nothing will resume unless I close the window and repeat the steps above to share screen.

Is there a setting I can change to stop this behavior?

Thank you.

Hello Ramblinmanva,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are having an issue with sharing the screen of your Mac mini on your iMac. Based on your description, you may have to check the Energy Saver preferences to prevent sleep, and other relevant steps in this Apple resource:

Cheers!
