Shortcuts not working

I love the idea of shortcuts, but they do not always work.

Some usually work including going to preset notes, using preset timers, and phoning or texting a contact. I wrote usually because sometimes they will do nothing when pressed.

Others will only go to another screen where I have to hit the play button, so it's not much of a shortcut.

The automation Shortcuts almost never work. These include ones I created including getting details about weather conditions 15 minutes after sunrise, and play a podcast at 7: 30 a.m. daily. The podcast shortcut worked one time, when I tested play a podcast. Now it will just flash a notification, asking me to hit run, sometimes. Sometimes it will do nothing. My phone has Do Not Disturb turned off at 5:00 a.m, so that's not the problem.

Other shortcuts that never work are When Do I Need To Leave For Work. I have my Home Address & my Work Address entered into the shortcut. I takes me about ten minutes to get to work. I just tested it. It says I should leave by 10:54 P.M. to get there. on time. First of all I don't even go back to work until 9:30 a.m in two days. Second of all I tested to app at 11:00 p.m., so even if it was right it would be already be 6 minutes after 10:54.

Does anyone have any idea why they won't work?
