So I have had my iPhone 7 from august 2017 and was looking to trade it in December of this year 2019 for an iPhone XR but from research the trade in policies got me thinking. I have the tiniest dent on the top left and right corner and the bottom right corner of the body of the phone is it still legible for the trade in credit of $150.

The price they show for a trade would be for a phone with no dents, or cracks in the screen. If your phone is dented, the trade value will most likely be reduced. Only Apple however, can confirm the trade value. I would recommend if you want to trade it to Apple you do it in-store as opposed to the ship it to Apple's partner who receives trades.
