Late 2008 Apple Cinema Display - Black Screen But MacBook Pro Detects That It Is Plugged In

I just purchased a 24" Late 2008 Apple Cinema Display thinking that it would be an easy fix because I had seen some of the firmware updates making me think that that was all it needed. I have tried installing the firmware and I don't get very far until it says that the installer comes up with a message saying "This package is incompatible with this version of macOS. I am currently on iOS Catalina.

Some more background info:

• My laptop will see that the display is connected
• When connected the display will play music, the speakers work
• When I took a screenshot the displays desktop showed up
• It's model number is A1267

Any help is greatly appreciated!
