I am trying to put the security patch on Mojave 10.14.4.6 on a three year old iMac.

This is not an uncommon error code for users of Apple products.

It would be nice is somebody from APPLE could post on the forum what the code actually means. This code has been written into the software by an Apple programmer to tell people the reason for a failed update.

My options seem to be reinstall the OS into a clean hard drive, try to install the patch and then if that works copy everything else from my backups. Seems a lot of a faff to work around a problem created by Apple to make their software work on their hardware.

So if anybody knows what the code actually means, please post back.

I remember when Apples simply worked. In the old days before 2018.
